From last weeks post you know that this is where we are starting with the latest re-do. I still really like the initial thought that I had about a major face-lift This was my quick sketch that got the ball rolling.
So I have been collecting things and generally fleshing out the idea all week. This is where I am so far.
We will rip out the plaster wall with the 1980’s paper exposing the original brick which is gorgeous! The floors and staircase will be either re-finished or re-conditioned to bring out more brown tones and less orange.
The remaining walls will be painted Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter with all trim being Kendall Gray. This is the Kendall Gray chip.
And here is a room with the walls painted Revere Pewter.
The owner and I both fell for this luscious graphic to use as drapery.
Then I started gathering rugs.
Runner A is for the long hall that is through the doorway seen just left of stair.
Rug B is a “make me happy” organic that feels like a cotton/wool for the seating group by brick wall.
Big Rug C ( which I wish was really big) will be the bridge between front entry and “waiting area” by brick wall and will set the color story for the rest of the space. It is awesome.
Carpet D is a maybe for the area off the break room upstairs.
This picture shows the contract grade carpet that will be in the offices and as a runner on the staircase.
This grouping shows the carpet with a grasscloth I am considering for the conference areas and the color of the wood floors.
I am headed to Scott’s next week to find great architectural prints like this to hang ceiling to floor.
The chairs are still up in the air but this is a possibility:
with seat cushion and lumbar recovered in a contract grade fabric like this
This is one of my all-time favorite pieces from Artitalia ( more on them later).
Where does that put us at this point?
I am still working. Next up, what to do with the opposite wall that look like this at the moment.
