Hidden Treasures In Old Cabinet

When you hear, “they don’t make it like they used do”. This is what they mean. You must watch the video of the hidden treasures in this 200 year old cabinet. Exquisite.

Happy Friday Friends!

The Lovely Suzanne Kasler

The lovely Suzanne Kasler has been one of my favorite southern designers for many years. I really fell in love with her work when Jeff surprised me with a trip to The Blackberry Farm for one of our anniversaries. Yep, he got a LOT of brownie points that year.

Of course I was already in love with the barn where the formal dining room is but we were lucky enough to stay in one of the cottages that Suzanne had just finished and honestly, I  could have just moved in. Well edited and always comfortable she hits many of my favorite points. We have run into each other several times at ADAC where my showroom and her studio are located but I had never heard her speak until this month at the Interior Design Camp in Atlanta.

interior designer,

The above picture is most reminiscent of Blackberry Farm with the rustic glam look. What is it about wooden ceilings and beams that make my heart sing. My Mother absolutely hates old wood in every form. We are forever in conflict because I want beams and vintage floors and doors, she wants slick shine. I think it’s that “product of the depression-don’t you dare give me anything used thing. ” Whatever. Bring on the salvage for me Baby!

Rejoice When Others Rejoice

Scripture tells us that we are to weep when others weep and rejoice when others rejoice.

I did a lot of both yesterday.  There are a lot of people hurting in this old world. Aren’t you glad we have friends to run to in our times of need?

There is also much happiness. Friends are adopting precious children, long-prayed-for weddings are in the planning phase

and at least one special friend just opened a jaw-dropping new shoppe. I was so happy to be one of the honored guest at the grand opening of Parish last night.

Welcome 2015

I am overwhelmed when I look at the number of posts that I have started but not finished. Therefore, I am covering my ears, closing my eyes, making that “I can’t hear you” sound and moving right on to something positive that makes me smile as we run headlong into this new year.

As the 5 pushed the 4 into the “that was so 2014” I got some love on Instagram and couldn’t wipe the smile off my face.

Thank You! to all of the designers around the country who have given Cindy Barganier Textiles a vote of confidence and used us this year. Kisses coming your way.
