How To Plan Your Kitchen Renovation

We are about to start on a couple of major kitchen and bath renovations and it suddenly occurred to me how many people are involved in that process and how overwhelming it could be to someone who doesn’t do it every day. I thought it might help some of you if I simply documented the steps that we go through just to get through the estimate phase. If you can conquer that beast you are good to go.

Flower Arranging Day

Wish me luck and say a prayer for me today. I love fresh flowers so much but these shoots are intimidating. I have buckets and buckets just waiting to be arranged and placed. They are so beautiful but we left home on Monday and we are shooting on Wednesday. Oh PLEASE still look fresh. Heck, just please still be alive! eek

Trending, Painted Stairs

One of the many things trending at the moment is painted stairs. The styles are numerous and they keep popping up on my feeds.

I really like this crisp blue. It feels like it’s leading you right into the ocean. It also feels very “Mykonos.”

The subtle tones of greige works also.

Centsasional Girl got very ambitious with a striped runner. She did a great job. It somehow looks like it would have the course texture of the real thing.

Not feeling quite that accomplished? You could use removable wallpaper like this designer did. The paper is by Hygg & West.

You could get your Boho on with these but you will have to ask Nomadic Decorator how in world they did it.

Back stairs are a fun play to hide some reminders that we all need as we go through life. I think my favorite is “we give second chances” but the one that applies to our littles at the moment is

“we do really loud”….. like reeeeeally loud. Really. 🙂 Love them so much.
