Speakin’, Streakin’ and Seekin’

It was a busy Saturday. I spoke for the women’s conference at Vaughn Forest in Montgomery, AL at 10 then ran like a crazy woman downtown in time to help set up for the Southern Makers event (which was fantastic if you missed it) and spent late afternoon seeking interviews with all the uber talented folks represented. I have a million photos and plan to share a little photo journalism over the next few days. You should feel like you were there!

Thanks, ladies, for having me. You were a delightful audience.

These events take lots of hands and lots of hard work. I love people who go the extra mile to make it special. One of those people is Garlan Gudger from Southern Accents in Cullman. I cannot believe the work that man put into Southern Makers. He brought 4 tractor trailer trucks of items down to create the staging for the event. Garlan, I hope you have 3 days to sleep. You deserve it!

This is the newly built forced perspective entrance built by Garlan and purchased by the city. Good move Montgomery.

Lucy from Lucy’s Inspired left her mark all over the event.

How cute are they!! And who knew we would all have to run around finding coats and boots to wear in May. #crazyweather!

You are so funny… see the first photo of you with the fabrics behind you (awesome dress, by the way). In the top row of fabrics, the second one from the left – aren’t those gray swirl/curly-ques with the turquoise? I love that fabric and am hoping it will work with the birds!
